Accelerated Crime Scene Investigation Foundations is a 3-weekend hybrid training program created for aspiring crime scene investigators who want a shorter, more accessible entry point into CSI training. Designed as an alternative to a longer academy format, this program combines virtual instruction with on-site hands-on training to help participants build foundational knowledge, strengthen investigative thinking, and gain practical exposure in a structured learning environment.
This program is focused on the core habits that support stronger crime scene work. Participants are introduced to foundational topics such as scene awareness, scene preservation, observation, documentation mindset, introductory photography awareness, sketching awareness, and organized investigative thinking. The goal is to help students begin thinking more like a crime scene investigator by learning how to approach a scene carefully, document what they observe clearly, and move through scene-based exercises with greater discipline and purpose.
Throughout the 3 weekends, participants will engage in a combination of guided virtual learning and on-site training activities that reinforce the importance of slowing down, observing before acting, and preserving the integrity of the scene. This is a beginner-friendly program, but it is professionally structured and career-relevant for students, recent graduates, and career changers exploring CSI-related training.

Accelerated Crime Scene Investigation Foundations is a foundational program and does not include advanced specialty topics such as bloodstain pattern analysis, ballistics, or impression evidence. Instead, it is designed to give participants a strong starting point and a clearer understanding of the skills, habits, and mindset that support future growth in crime scene investigation.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion.
