The Forensic Science Academy is the premier training program designed for students who wish to gain valuable hands-on experience in forensic science. Training is the #1 way students can gain valuable experience in order to apply to entry-level forensic positions.
Our 100-hour training module, consisting of Basic Crime Scene Investigations, Forensic Photography, and Advanced Crime Scene Investigations, will start on June 17, 2023. The module will consist of three (3) courses:
Basic Crime Scene Investigations (32-hour training)
This is a 32-hour training course. Fundamentals of basic crime scene investigations, including how to secure a crime scene, how to document a crime scene, the types of evidence found at crime scenes, and how to generate a crime scene report. Case studies included. This course is required for Advanced Crime Scene Investigation, Introduction to Death Investigation, and Advanced Death Investigation courses.
Dates: Saturday/Sunday: June 17, 18, 24, 25
Forensic Photography (32-hour training+photography project)
This is a 32-hour training course. Fundamentals of forensic photography, camera basics, recording of evidence (via photography), and nighttime scenes will be reviewed. Case studies included. Please note: there will be one session which will be held at night.
Dates: Saturday/Sunday: July 22, 23, 29, 30
Advanced Crime Scene Investigations (32-hour training+crime scene report)
This is a 32-hour training course. This is an ADVANCED course building upon the fundamentals of basic crime scene investigations. Students will be asked to investigate, document, photograph, and report on the assigned crime scene. Emphasis is placed on skills learned during Basic Crime Scene and hands-on activities.
Dates: Saturday/Sunday: August 19, 20, 26, 27
Each course is taught by a forensic expert and upon completion, the student will receive certificates of completion, which can be used to showcase your experience when applying for open forensic positions.

Payment may be completed via an installment plan (over the course of 3 months).
